CALL FOR PAPERS

We are excited to invite submissions from researchers, academics, practitioners of agriculture, and industry experts on any of the listed sub-themes of the conference. The submissions which must relate to the theme of the conference, must be original research findings, reviews or position papers.

There will be hybrid modes of presentation – virtual and physical. Participants who wish to make virtual presentations will indicate at the point of paper submission, and will receive further details on this. All presentations must be prepared on PowerPoint.

All submissions of abstracts must be received on or before midnight of 31st August 2024, while full papers must be submitted by midnight of 30th September, 2024.

1. Submissions should not be more than 4 pages (single line space) on A4 paper size, formatted with a margin of 2.54cm or 1 inch on each side.

2. The pages of the paper should be numbered serially.

3. The first line should be left blank and the second line should carry the title of the paper in bold lower case letter (Times New Roman, font size 12) followed by the names (initial first, then surname) and address(es) of the author(s) in normal character (Times New Roman, font size 10). The email address of the corresponding author (where applicable) should be typed as part of the address in italics but in same font 10 and bolded.

4. The line following the address should be left blank. This should be followed by the entire manuscript (text in single line spacing, in Times New Roman font size 10). The text should be divided into the following sub-sections: Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods (Methodology), Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments (if any) and References. Each of the sectional heads should be typed bold using Times New Roman font size 12 and left aligned. The text should begin on the next line after each heading. References should follow Harvard APA system.

5. Table format should be APA style for reporting scientific results.

Paper Publication Charge (per paper) – N10,000.
Note: members in status are those who have renewed their membership for the year 2024. Annual Renewal fees are prescribed on the Subscription page.

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

1. Members who are already registered on the society’s website should simply login: you will be redirected to the subscription page where you choose the 2024 Annual Conf – Individual or 2024 Annual Conf – Corporate, and select the options that are applicable to you.

2. Members who do not have account on the website should create one. To register, simply click on the “New Member? Register Here” link under the login box, fill your details and submit. It will take you to (1) above.

3. All Payments are done online on the society’s website. Receipts are automated.

4. Members who have paid their 2024 annual dues are in status; they should not add 2024 Annual Dues to their bundle when registering for the conference.

5. If you choose “Pay with Transfer”, remember to click on the “I’ve sent the money” tab after you have successfully made the transfer to the virtual account number provided on your screen.

6. At the point of registration, ensure your name is written in the manner it is expected to appear on your certificates, starting with surname.
