Dr. Anonaba Nkechinyere Kate

I am an Agricultural Scientist and a lecturer with a strong interest in agricultural production. My academic and research activities focus on addressing practical challenges in crop production and contributing to improved agricultural productivity and food security. My research interests include crop improvement, agronomy, crop production, weed management, plant nutrition, varietal evaluation, and sustainable agricultural practices. I have experience in designing and conducting field experiments, collecting and analysing research data, supervising student research projects, and communicating research findings through scientific publications and academic presentations. As a university lecturer, I contribute to undergraduate teaching, student mentoring and supervision, research activities, departmental responsibilities, and academic development. I am passionate about helping students develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in agriculture while encouraging research that addresses real-world agricultural challenges. I hold a PhD in Crop production,MSc in Agronomy,B.Agric in Plant Health Management and continue to develop my research capacity through scholarly publications, professional development, academic collaborations, conferences, and research initiatives. I am particularly interested in collaborations involving crop improvement, sustainable crop production, agricultural research, food security, and innovations that can improve the productivity and resilience of farming systems.
