Bashir Omolaran Bello

Professor BELLO, Omolaran Bashir is a Professor of Agronomy specializing in Plant Breeding and Genetics in the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, at the University of Abuja. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Ilorin in 2009 and served as the Acting Dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences at Fountain University, Osogbo, from 2013 to 2016. He was the Head of the Department of Agronomy at the Federal University, Gashua, from 2020 to 2022. His current research focuses on breeding maize for enhanced nutritional contents and improved tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses.
