Abdulrasheed Suleiman

Biographical Sketch: Abdulrasheed SULEIMAN, is a soil scientist and ecosystem ecologist studying the cycling of Carbon, Nitrogen, and other elements in terrestrial and near-coastal environments. I am interested in understanding how human activity (Anthropogenic), functional biodiversity and environmental variability interact to influence ecosystem structure and functioning. My research is highly inter-multi-disciplinary in nature, drawing from knowledge and expertise in Soil science/Environmental sciences (soil physics, soil fertility, soil conservation and management, soil chemistry and mineralogy(Biogeochemistry), soil survey and land use planning) agronomy, plant physiology, ecology, microbiology, environmental chemistry, Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA)/Remote Sensing, Land use planning and survey, Agro-Meteorology/Climatic variability, Irrigation science, soil and water conservation and Climate Change & Land Use (CCLU) Research. My current research efforts are focused on the Carbon sequestration potential of Agro-forestry systems: An assessment of climate change mitigation potential & adaptation strategy
