Dr. Emmanuel Opoola is an Associate Professor of Animal Science in the Division of Agricultural Colleges, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He has keen interest in research/ academic because it relatively gives him an opportunity to share knowledge and learn from senior colleagues. He took up a degree in Agriculture as a young undergraduate at Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria (2008) and stayed on there until he completed his M.Sc. and PhD. in animal science, (2012 and 2016) respectively. His academic interest is in the areas of feed stuffs evaluation, digestive physiology (including applied and basic nutritional research) and reduction of environmental impact of monogastric animal production by means of dietary manipulations. In 2021, Dr. Emmanuel Opoola served as in-person volunteer for the Winrock Farmer-to-Farmer projects in Nigeria. He is currently a research scholar at the African Forum Centre for Policy Research and Development, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Dr. Emmanuel Opoola is actively involved in international development projects and community activities.
